I’m working on this project again, and it seems like we are going to be able to continue doing the letters between inmates and their children. This is an 8 minute version of what is becoming an hour long documentary. It has been seen around the country, internationally, and hopeful will be coming to festival, big screen, or TV station near you. Many of you who have been watching this blog for a long time have seen this piece - perhaps not in the 8 minute form, and maybe not all of the pieces that are included in this version - including the reunion between the girls and their dad. In any case this is the first of a series of old videos that I’m re-encoding, and posting here on this site. My intention is to get all of my old stuff - along with a weekly new piece - up and running on this site, which has the best blogware out there - Show In A Box. Thanks, Milt
Speak Dog, Speak!
I've been working on our original website Oyate Ta Olowan. We've been working on adding digital downloads to the site, but it's still a challenge. Oyate is a public radio series that we did on traditional Native American music. We did 52 half hour shows and traveled over 100,000 miles collecting music from all over the Americas. It was a while ago, but people still seem to love it, so we keep offering the shows for sale. It's all a part of our little press Many Kites Press. Life is so amazing, and so full, but we keep on trucking. I hope things are going well for all of you, and that continue to create wonderful things. Later, Milt Lee

Great project, was really interesting to see. Did someone approach you and ask you to do this? Or did you seek this out?
This is the third time I’ve watched this, and it’s the third time I’ve been brought to tears. The raw emotion in that the father shows when hearing his daughter is truly a moment of history you’ve captured.
Thank you for showing the humanity…
Hihanni Waste Sicesi Milt,
I just watched the Flash video of the Video. It will be really interested in seeing your edited version. It’s funny to see how much my girls have grown since you started this project. Thank you for being so supportive and assisting in the growth of my girls. They are all doing so well and becoming very productive young ladies. This is all in part due to your assistance and the will of the Grandfathers, I think that this whole process has just helped my girls become whole individuals spiritually. Can’t wait to see you on Saturday and you will see what I mean. Jolena will graduate from High School and be a Gates Scholar. Now I will have three college students. Again I just wanted to say publicly Pilamaya for all of your help all of these years.
