Ive been building a model of our strawbale cabin that we are going to build next summer ( the cabin - not the model) and I thought I would share it with you folks. Jamie says I have my own doll house now. Could be!
Speak Dog, Speak!
I've been working on our original website Oyate Ta Olowan. We've been working on adding digital downloads to the site, but it's still a challenge. Oyate is a public radio series that we did on traditional Native American music. We did 52 half hour shows and traveled over 100,000 miles collecting music from all over the Americas. It was a while ago, but people still seem to love it, so we keep offering the shows for sale. It's all a part of our little press Many Kites Press. Life is so amazing, and so full, but we keep on trucking. I hope things are going well for all of you, and that continue to create wonderful things. Later, Milt Lee

So this will be made of real hay bails?
What’s the expected life of such a cabin?
Very cool…
Yep, real bales. There are houses in Nebraska made of bales that have been around for over 100 years. A lot of it depends on what you use to stucco it, the foundation, etc. I’ll be doing a lot more posts on how it’s built as I go along - stay tuned!
I really like the round end of the house and the loft. Then there are those fine folks that live there. She seems so kind and thoughtful. But that guy. I saw him turn sideways and he really seemed two-dimensional to me. I don’t know.
Nice model, Milt.
