Speak Dog, Speak!

I've been working on our original website Oyate Ta Olowan. We've been working on adding digital downloads to the site, but it's still a challenge. Oyate is a public radio series that we did on traditional Native American music. We did 52 half hour shows and traveled over 100,000 miles collecting music from all over the Americas. It was a while ago, but people still seem to love it, so we keep offering the shows for sale.

It's all a part of our little press Many Kites Press. Life is so amazing, and so full, but we keep on trucking. I hope things are going well for all of you, and that continue to create wonderful things. Later, Milt Lee

Gone Baby Gone

Just went to see Gone baby Gone. I give it 4 paws. It was excellent. I thought that the script, the acting, the way it was shot was really good. I especially liked the authentic Boston thing. Evidently Ben Affleck cast a bunch of local folks to fill out the scenes. I don’t know if this went even as far as using unknown Boston Folks to actually speak lines, but I have to say it really had an authentic feel. It was twisty, and very enjoyable~! Go see it, you’ll like it if you like dark twisty mystery things.Milt

The Rites of Passage

The Rites of Passage

This week I went down to do some interviews on Rosebud with some really nice women. On the way back, Jamie called and suggested that I stop and meet a young woman who had emailed her – about Rites of Passage. It seems that a group of young people are working together on creating new rights of passage for the new century, and one guy had read Jamie’s book – . It’s a wonderful book Re-Visioning Adolescence and the Rite of Passage, and these folks really wanted to connect with her, but her crazy schedule this semester really didn’t allow it, so I went instead, and I’m glad I did. What a nice thing these guys were doing – building a straw bale house! So this was my short interview I did with Julianna so that I could show Jamie what she looked like and what she was up to. Hope you enjoy it.
