I've been working on our original website 
It’s an old story, but it’s still a good one. At the powwow, it’s not always about just preserving culture, and keeping traditions alive. Lots of times it’s about seeing somebody – maybe somebody you’d really like to see, and seeing if they want to see you – maybe they do – maybe they really do.
Every month they have a powwow at one of the grade schools on Pine Ridge Reservation. On Friday, Feb 15th, it was at the Porcupine School. Pahin Sinte – that’s porcupine in Lakota. It’s just like a regular powwow, and every thing is the same. The grand entry, the flag song, then the victory song, then a sneak-up song, some intertribals, and finally a dance contest. But I wanted to show what goes on behind the flags.
Your site keeps looking better and better Milt. I love this video. It could be a pow wow in Arizona! I don’t get to attend many, and often there are people from all around the nation. But you can always walk around the big main circle. And there are always tents or shaded areas where dancers are waiting, mingling and talking like this. And always a few old war heroes shooting the breeze or waiting to shoot the breeze. I love it.
That was very a touching video – I like a behind the scenes look at other lives – the same and not the same – I have only traveled around Europe and once to Australia so glimpses like this are a treat – because I wonder how often the mainstream looks and listens?

I’M SO GLAD YOU FOUND MY DAUGHTER AND HER FRIENDS SOOO INTERESTING…!! STUFF THATS NOT MEANT TO BE ON DISPLAY..??? THIS KIND OF BEHAVIOR, THE LAUGHING, TALKING, DANCING IS PART OF OUR LIVES…WE SHOULD BE HAPPY THAT OUR YOUNG PEOPLE ARE OUT ON THE DANCE FLOOR AT ALL…OF COURSE, THEY SHOULD KNOW TO RESPECT THE FLAG SONG AND THE VICTORY SONG, BUT GO TO ANY POWWOW AND YOU WILL SEE THE SAME BEHAVIORS…THIS ISN’T UNCOMMON…SO AGAIN….GLAD YOU CAUGHT OUR KIDS HAVING A GOOD TIME ON FILM…!!!!!
