I've been working on our original website Oyate Ta Olowan.We've been working on adding digital downloads to the site, but it's still a challenge. Oyate is a public radio series that we did on traditional Native American music. We did 52 half hour shows and traveled over 100,000 miles collecting music from all over the Americas. It was a while ago, but people still seem to love it, so we keep offering the shows for sale. It's all a part of our little press Many Kites Press. According to Wikipedia, there are 3 versions of this tune - Pat A Cake, Patty Cake, and Paddy Cake (clearly Irish). But around here, it’s Patty Cake. Kaden is just wonderful. So cute that I have to post some more of this tyke. 24 pounds at 6 months!! Outrageous! No more mother’s milk!!! What a sweetie-pie! Being a Grampa is pretty fun, I gotta tell you.
As some of you know, a couple of weeks ago, Jamie and I went down to see some new grandkids. They were, and are, wonderful! But of course, that’s what keeps the human race racing. It’s just so easy to fall in love with these little guys - or gals. In this piece, Adrien is the big one - he’s 8 weeks old here, and Kaden is the little guy - just 2 days old in this video.
I put this under Education as a category, because Adrien shows us how much even little tiny babies are curious, and want to learn, and how incredibly attentive they are to everything we do. Hope you enjoy it. BTW - the music is a song I recorded a while ago, and I’ve been looking for a place to use it for a long time. I think I found it.
